Gourmet Portland

Portland, Oregon is a great food city.  Many residents of San Francisco and Seattle act superior to Portland, but Stumptown has quite a few things going for it, including its own brand of West Coast cuisine and very pleasantly low prices.

Markets of Manhattan, Part II: Zabar's

Zabar's is the original gourmet market of New York, and is credited with inspiring Dean & Deluca, The Silver Palate and many of NY's pioneering gourmet markets of the 60's.

Markets of Manhattan, Part I: Chelsea

Since we knew we'd have Sunday free in NY, I emailed Dave "Pepperhead" about meeting up with us for a "foodie day" in Manhattan, one of the foodie capitals of the world. Since there was only so much food we could actually eat, we spent a good portion of the day visiting the famous gourmet markets of NY.
