Three Intensely Ethnic Cookbooks from the SFPL

My sweetie recently discovered that the San Francisco Public Library actually has a very impressive collection of cookbooks, and that we can order others through inter-library loan.  So she's started borrowing; what better way to find out if we want to own a cookbook?  

Well, it didn't take long for our friendly Bookmobile staff to learn our tastes and start pulling books for us on their own.  Following are brief reviews of 3 cookbooks they lent us. Read on!

Dia De Portugal, this weekend

Continuing the Bay Area's ethnic festival list is the Dia De Portugal festival in San Jose this weekend. I think this one is #1 for the best ethnic food at the most economical prices. Plus, you can visit San Jose History Park while you're there.
