
Just unloaded another Cone 6 Glaze firing at Yosemite Place. This firing had a number of notable successes, probably because I remembered to make a Kiln God this time. Above is the best: it's an ash glaze I call Creeper Ash, with 1% cobalt carbonate, over Bronze Dragon Matte. The latter glaze is a change of colorant from Green Dragon Matte from an old Ceramic Arts Daily article. I couldn't get Frasca Ash from that article to work at all with the madrone wood ash I'm using, but the Green Dragon Matte worked beautifully just by swapping Tin Oxide for the Titanium Dioxide.
